Virustad launches in Germany – powered by Enzymatica's ColdZyme® technology
An important milestone for Enzymatica! STADA has officially launched Virustad in the German pharmacy market – Europe's largest market for cold products. Built on Enzymatica's clinically documented ColdZyme® technology, the launch marks a significant step forward in the company's international expansion.
Virustad is sprayed into the mouth and throat at the first signs of a cold. It forms a protective barrier that prevents and inhibits cold viruses from infecting cells in the mouth and throat. Available in three flavours, the product is backed by STADA's strong commercial organisation, with pharmacy activities, product sampling and digital campaigns supporting the launch.
The launch follows the partnership agreement signed between Enzymatica and STADA in March 2026, covering Germany and Austria. The roll-out will scale up gradually, with a more significant commercial impact expected from the 2027 cold season.
